Open rack gasifier is a kind of water heating gasifier, with seawater as the heat source, the maximum amount of gasification can reach 180t/h, operating in the load range of 0^100%, at the same time according to the change of demand remote control adjustment of gasification amount. Characterized by large investment, low operating costs, easy operation and maintenance, it is more suitable for basic load LNG receiving stations. With seawater heat source, the quality of seawater is required to be high. At the same time, coating protection and other anti-corrosion measures should be taken on the outer surface.

The basic unit of the open-rack gasifier is the aluminum alloy heat transfer tube, the heat transfer tube has a star-shaped section, the external fin, and the pipe has a screw rod to increase the LNG heat transfer; A plurality of heat transfer tubes are arranged in the shape of plates, and the two ends are welded with the collecting pipe or liquid collecting pipe to form a tube plate, and then a plurality of tube plates to form a gasifier.

The working principle is that the LNG flows upward in the pipe, and the seawater sprayed by the spray device at the top of the gasifier flows top-down on the outer surface of the pipe plate to gasify the LNG in the pipe. When the open rack gasifier is running, the outer surface of the liquid collector will freeze at the lower part of the plate type tube bundle, which will affect the heat transfer performance of the gasifier. Osakagaskobel and Steel jointly developed a local double-layer heat transfer tube, which is called Superorv, to effectively improve the freezing condition.
